FBI Special Agent Ella Dark has studied serial killers from the time she could read, devastated by the murder of her own sister. Her encyclopedic knowledge of killers, though, is put to the test when a woman barely escapes from the car of a serial killer, and Ella compares it to past cases. But this killer may just be determined to do the one thing Ella never anticipates: to stray from his predecessors.

Girl, Hunted (An Ella Dark FBI Suspense Thriller) is Book 3 in a long-anticipated new series by number one best seller and USA Today best-selling author Blake Pierce, whose best seller Once Gone has received over 1,000 five-star reviews.

FBI Agent Ella Dark, 29, is given her big chance to achieve her life’s dream: to join the Behavioral Crimes Unit. Ella’s hidden obsession of gaining an encyclopedic knowledge of serial killers has led to her being singled out for her brilliant mind, and invited to join the big leagues.

But this killer knows more than he should, and he’s determined to outsmart her.

The deadly game of cat and mouse that follows leaves Ella wondering: do her talents have a limit?

Has she finally met her match?

A pause-resisting and harrowing crime thriller featuring a brilliant and tortured FBI agent, the Ella Dark series is a riveting mystery, packed with suspense, twists and turns, revelations, and driven by a breakneck pace that will keep you flipping pages late into the night.

I love the story, but the narrator was awful. Zero tone inflection, read like a grade schooler, and had the most annoying Minnesota twang.

Horrible narration

Love this series. The narrator however is basically lifeless. The change in tone between characters shows little or no effort. Entire delivery is flat emotionless and completely uninspired. When narrating a thriller, I feel it would be helpful for the narrator to actually be fully engaged and take into account the momentum of and characters. Not impressed Audible. 😞

Great story, blah delivery

Mr. Pierce, I love your books so very much!!!!
But ONLY if advice I could and would give you is..GET another reader for your Audible addition. She reads so slow and in the same monotone. She is so very boring!!!!!

This book series is very addicting. Going to start book 4. It helps to have the same narrator also.

Very suspenseful

As just another basic crime/mystery enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoy the mix of historical facts relating to serial killers who have previously left their mark on society with fictional characters carving their own horrifying path within the books written by Pierce. This one was equally intense, but easy to follow along with. Previous reviews rip the narrator on their accent/style, which I admit takes a second to get used to. But overall, I quite like their voice. It’s a bit of a dichotomy to inhale the seriousness of some of the moments with the narrator’s monotone style. Overall, this author is a great one to vibe out to when you’re dual tasking.

Perfect mix of facts + fiction
