In the third installment of the runaway hit series Girls from da Hood, street-fiction veterans KaShamba Williams and Mark Anthony are joined by newcomer MadameK as they turn up the heat with fiery stories that will leave the listener breathless.

KaShamba Williams returns with those feisty Brooklyn gals Fire and Marcy as they find out what life in Miami has to offer them. It couldn't have been easy for them as they watched their mother's heroin abuse take her to a near-death experience. No matter what others thought of their mother, Fire and Marcy loved her to death, loved her enough to put their own lives on the line to stand up against the men that committed such a gruesome act. Miami's heat won't be enough to stop "Brooklyn's Finest" from getting revenge the sweet and simple way.

Stripping in one of the hottest clubs in the country affords you a nice "hood rich" living. Well, that's how it is for Latisha Lovely and her roommate, Lexi. With nothing but money on their minds, the two agree to take part in a more lucrative hustle than stripping. But when things start to turn bad, Latisha and Lexi must decide their own future in "Snakes or Snitches".

In "Star Quality", R&B diva Star Marshall is the envy of every woman and the desire of every man. However, her superstar status doesn't come without problems. Onstage and in the studio, she is a puppet, controlled by her record company, manager, and the whims of her fans. But behind closed doors, Star turns the tables, engaging in a secret life that, if exposed, could cost her everything - including her sanity.

The first two stories were good. The last one should not have been included. Very hard to get through the first full chapter. I just stopped trying to get into it and went on to book 4.

I liked the first two stories.
