This boxed set contains three books in the USA Today best-selling Glass and Steele series:

  • The Watchmaker's Daughter.
  • The Mapmaker's Apprentice.
  • The Apothecary's Poison.

India Steele is desperate. Her father is dead, her fiancé took her inheritance, and no one will employ her, despite years working for her watchmaker father. Indeed, the other London watchmakers seem frightened of her. Alone, poor, and at the end of her tether, India takes employment with the only person who’ll accept her–an enigmatic and mysterious man from America. A man who possesses a strange watch that rejuvenates him when he’s ill.

Matthew Glass must find a particular watchmaker, but he won’t tell India why any old one won’t do. Nor will he tell her what he does back home, and how he can afford to stay in a house in one of London’s best streets. So when she reads about an American outlaw known as the Dark Rider arriving in England, she suspects Mr. Glass is the fugitive. When danger comes to their door, she’s certain of it. But if she notifies the authorities, she’ll find herself unemployed and homeless again–and she will have betrayed the man who saved her life.

With a cast of quirky characters, an intriguing mystery, and a dash of romance, this thrilling historical fantasy series will keep you listening late into the night.

Great characters, novel plot twists on cozy themes, and just enough sexual tension to be worth the listen. My biggest disappointment was a different voice actor for books 2 & 3 after getting involved with the characters & their voices in book 1. But, overall, enjoyed all three books & highly recommend.

Worth the listen!

Enjoyed your Boxed set Stories . I liked how they went in to each other. The Narrated was also so good.

Very good story Like all 3 Books.

To get to the point with all the angst and internal gymnastics of Matt and India. I found myself wanting to crack their heads together and I hate characters that are supposedly soooo capable and yet find themselves at the end of a gun barrel time and time again.

Good Story Premise But Takes Forever

I liked everything the strong female character, funny, smart and romantic. Complex characters in Duke, Cyclops and Willie the authors brain process.

character development
