The bestselling Go the F*** to Sleep has been translated into over thirty languages worldwide. Now it is finally translated for Jamaican and other Caribbean parents of the world.

Go de Rass to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don't always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland. Profane, affectionate, and radically honest, California Book Award - winning author Adam Mansbach's verses perfectly capture the familiar - and unspoken - tribulations of putting your little angel down for the night. In the process, they open up a conversation about parenting, granting us permission to admit our frustrations and laugh at their absurdity.

Go de Rass to Sleep is beautiful, subversive, and pants-wettingly funny - a book for parents new, old, and expectant. You probably should not read it to your children.

Please note: This audiobook is in Jamaican Patois.

I loved this story - as a lover of words and the poetic nature of stories spoken in poetic form - I truly enjoyed this story.

Great Rythmic Story

Omg! I purchased the original go the eff to sleep for my son. I found that hilarious. When I saw this version, I thought oh no! When I saw it was being read by Shaggy, I listened immediately while at the airport. It was wonderfully read, the story is so true in any language as any parent knows! I needed this story when my son was young because it made me realize that I wasn’t the only parent who after trying for hours to get their child to sleep, that patience will inevitably run out and the curse words would come. One doesn’t want to curse at their kids, but bedtime is where you’re really pushed to the limit. The fact that a book was needed to highlight the struggles at bedtime, let me know I actually wasn’t the only one. Then it took the stress off bedtime shenanigans and I actually just became calmer at bedtime. So I actually stopped cursing. Would highly recommend either book.

Ask the daughter of Jamaican parents, I Can Only Imagine my parents frustration trying to put me to sleep, and I imagine my parents reading this book to me. I definitely think that this is a cute short story book that many adults will enjoy about Parenthood.
