That’s what I was told, but believe me, I’m starting to wonder if all of this isn’t more trouble than it’s worth.

My new life in the city was supposed to challenge me. Little did I know that the biggest challenge I’d face was out sassing the conman, who can’t keep his hands off me.

Honestly, you’d think that saving his life would’ve been enough. But, no, of course not. It’s not enough for Ryske.

Except, I’m no fool. He’s a “promise-me-nothing” kind of guy, and my ridiculous heart is already trying to sync with his.

I’m an idiot. An idiot. I should’ve let him bleed out. Just walked away and left his world before it became mine. But, it’s too little too late. I’m in it.

I have a feeling that fortunate fall, our felix culpa, will be the undoing of both of us.

great story

This story had me entertained from the very beginning. The chemistry between Harlow and Ryske is evident throughout this story.
Ryske is so much a smooth talker, Harlow tries to keep her heart guarded from the flirty, con man she became to love. She has her doubts about him. Is he playing her or is this real?
Elizabeth Russell is amazing telling this story. All characters have their own voices and personalities and she performs it well.

The narrator did an excellent and entertaining job telling the story and giving the characters a voice.

Harlow and Ryske

Harlow runs into Ryske as he is being chased and bleeding out. Right from the start i was pulled into this story when Harlow stood up to a bunch of guys with guns trying to protect Ryske. I love Harlow and how no matter what she always had some kind of comeback and how snarky she is. Then Ryske the flirtatious playboy con man. I didn't want to stop listening to this and then when you get to the ending I wasn't expecting it and it left me wanting to listen to the next part, so here is hoping it gets released soon.

WOW

Fate had a hand in bringing Harlow and Ryske together. From different backgrounds and total opposites, but somehow she fits right in with him and his crew. As the story unfolds, Ryske and Harlow's chemistry only gets stronger but she wants more than he is willing to give. The twist and turns of this story keeps you wanting more, but the ending, UGH!

A great start to the Go series. Narrating was good however, sometimes I felt she made Ryske sound whiny.

Okay...

This was okay—starts out with lots of action and shady characters … doesn’t keep with this pace, but does pack lots of scheming and witty banter. The action does pick back up eventually, as do the steamy times (though the dialogue during these was a bit cheesy for me).

3.5 stars.

Entertaining!

This was my first Scarlett Finn's book and won't be my last. This is the first book in the Go Series. Harlow and Ryske's story is entertaining, and passionate, filled with humor, banter, danger, action, and twists and turns. Elizabeth Russell did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. She has a beautiful voice, pleasant to listen to. The story ends with a big cliffhanger! Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. #PFPAudio
