When we hear the word "paranormal," our interest often peaks because we are curious about things we don’t understand. If we’re being honest, when we hear about psychic powers or ghost hunting, we’re inquisitive as to whether we have such powers or wonder what waits for us on the other side of life. The concept of talking with the dead or a good ghost story may privately intrigue us, even if we express our total disbelief to everyone around us. When we consider the “power” of things like telepathy, telekinesis, “pre” and “post” cognition, remote viewing, psychometry or any number of other paranormal abilities, we see similarities to events in the Bible that make for some strange bedfellows, but are interesting none the less. In theory, you have the power to do anything described in this book. Everything listed in the table of contents is possible, given all the anecdotal evidence, but the question still remains: can or should you, and what does science and the Bible say about these abilities? Remember that scientific thought isn’t the enemy, but neither is the Bible. As Einstein so aptly put it: “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” If we can open our minds to both the facts of science and the dogma of religion, we can understand the paranormal in a whole new way.
