When you're a priest, down is the wrong direction.
Former Marine Connor Black, now Father Black, wants to reclaim his freedom, but the mysterious Honos Group has another mission for him. They know his secret, a decade old mistake that, if released, will drag America into another war.
This time, he must head underground to destroy a tunnel that runs beneath the US border, from San Diego to Tijuana.
But when he meets a fellow Marine using the same tunnel to take home the daughter of a ruthless cartel leader, the stakes go from dangerous to explosive.
Even with the help of old and new friends, he might not get out of this alive and, as much as Black wants to meet God, he's not ready just yet.
Going Dark is the second book in the Father Black series, an action thriller that features heroes, heroines, and a priest on a mission.

GOING DARK, Audiobook and eBook, #2 - This story picks up a week after Mission Black ends. It is steady nonstop action, with intense story lines and great characters. Interesting, intriguing, immersing entertainment that makes you frown when the last page is read, you want more. The returning narrator Holt Shepherd is perfect for this book. He does a great job with reading, the characters, and their emotions. Source: My Kindle library, The author, and my Audible library. 5*
Mission Black, Audiobook and eBook, #1 - Absolutely one of the best books I have read recently in any genre. I was completely mesmerized by the intriguing, intense story lines, the three, actually, four awesome characters if you consider the "Organization" a character, and the continuous pace. Of course, vigilantism is a favorite theme for me, and having a Catholic priest as a reluctant vigilante makes an interesting formula. Added to the mix, plenty of good humor and two female characters worth their weight in gold. The other characters were a good variety of types. Of course, the darkness of Black's dilemma weighs on him and he works with God to solve his troubles. There was a bit of British English here and there that brought out a giggle or two. Minimal cursing. The narrator Holt Shepherd is perfect for this book. He does a great job with reading, the characters, and their emotions. THE FATHER BLACK Series end.
A Guy Walks Into A Bar, Audiobook and eBook - I enjoy reading books by this talented author. I tried to finish this book in one sitting but, alas, 0300 hours knocked me out. Funny. Interesting. Intriguing. Well written with well thought out story lines and a group of characters that are characters. All the good guys were likeable and easy to root for and the baddies were easy to hate, and admire their professionalism. I enjoyed finding out about the different types of drones and sure could use one of the loaded for bear ones in my backyard. Entertaining and realistic. The narrator Ronald Bruce Meyer does an excellent job reading, his characters, and their emotions. Source: My Kindle library, The author, and my Audible library. 5*
Final Clearance, Audiobook and eBook - My second book by this author and I enjoyed it, too. Funny how things work out for some people. Told in first person, the story hits highs and lows as well as love and humor. A killer with a conscience and morals, go figure. Good characters, great story lines, clean dialog and humor made this one sitting read. The narrator Dave Melcher does an excellent job with his characters and their emotions.
