Now here's the twist:

Every time Travis eliminates a monster… he gets massive loot. We're talking absurd, unfair, "is this even legal?" levels of loot. And honestly? He's fine with that. Travis has never been the chosen one. He's the big boy with a big inventory, and now he's got fourteen terrified mouths to feed, a campus full of problems, and a brand-new opportunity to go from "human punching bag" to "walking supply drop with an attitude."

This isn't a doom-and-gloom apocalypse…

Okay, fine—there's some doom and gloom. Mostly because Travis's bully is still out there, still breathing, and still treating "ruin Travis's life" like it's a full-time job… even during the literal end of the world.

And as if that's not enough, a planet-wide zombie horde is loose too—not breathing, of course, and absolutely determined to make trouble for our boy.

This is an easy-living, high-loot apocalypse.

Entertaining

Honestly, I saw one of the reviews saying that the MC was too paranoid to the point of not making decisions because of it but I liked the MC he is a realist with a lot of trust issues and the times he was paranoid were justified but the story does take its sweet time ramping up and by the end of the book I found it silly that he still thinks he can't fight Liam because he is just too broken and honestly I hope when they finally fight that trvis just curbs stomp Liam. otherwise it just wouldn't make sense with how much he grew by the end

Paranoid

So granted a story needs tension but endless paranoia isn’t a fun ride. Creating unlimited potential and then limiting with unlimited paranoia was just frustrating. 16 hours with a complete lack of any even sense of closure nothing resolves. Just more open elements more build more threads more tropes started without closure. All in all just endlessly building tension without any closure.
