The story might have been good but the AI reading is just awful! It's so hard to gage the story when the reading is so unemotional. For the love of all things good, Audible, LOOSE AI!!!!

UGGGG LOOSE AI VOICE RECORING!!

This audiobook was not for me, others may enjoy it. How many ways can you say the exact same thing. Like in high school it seems like there was a certain word count that had to be achieved and descriptions were added a lot and became tedious. Examples. It was a wonderful extended family/ we just fit in everyone loved us/ even though we weren't blood related everyone was family. (these are just a few examples)...... Ad nauseum....
Virtual Narration was horrendous for this book.

AI was obvious and horrible. Characters were unlikeable. Plot was unbelievable. Only redeeming point is that it was a short listen. I love not having the 10 or 12 hour listens as the legenth often seems like padding. I thank Amazon for the number of free listens. I save my 12 or more credits a year for favorite authors and have found new authors to buy and follow through Amazon's Plus samples. But it will be a long time before I try another AI performance.

One redeeming point
