Obviously going into the story, I knew that it was going to be another mystery. I didn’t know what to expect and what type of mystery it was going to be but I was assuming another unsolved murder. Generally when I start a new series, I only really read the first description of the first book and then go on blind faith that the next books are going to be good and I was not disappointed. The second book in the series was amazing. I really found it so interesting and still having those twisted and turns in there that kept me guessing until the very end. I’m looking forward to reading the book. I found that having the second season of the podcast was really cool and still having those logs and the way the voices changed just really immersed you into the story so well. I was following along in a physical book as well as listening and it was so nice to see in the physical book the logs written out but also great to hear it and bring you that much closer to the characters and the events within the story. I am happy to see how Pip has really grown between book one and book 2 and can’t wait to see how she grows and mature into book 3. I’m also interested to see how her relationship develops between the other characters such as her mum and dad brother and Ravi. All in all really enjoyed it.

Loved it!

Everything was great, thanks. I would only kindly suggest to add Accompanying PDF like for the first book in the series in case maps, drawings are mentioned in the audio.

Honestly, I really liked the book, and would have given a 3.5 if I could. I,d say the backstory of the case and Pip's character arc was actually better in this book. The reason for the low score is the mystery part. The backstory being related to an imaginary case that was never foreshadowed made it practically impossible to suspect is the most disappointing part. The identity of Layla was also too sudden. It might even have been better as another genre, but the disappointment from the actual plot makes this one a 3.5 for me.

An amazing book, at everything except what it promises
