An Enjoyable Listen

The humor and pacing of this police procedural kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved how the village setting and characters came alive—the dialogue and details were spot on. Callum Hale did a fantastic job narrating.

With a clever plot twist, a cruel crime at the center, and a sympathetic detective, this book has all the ingredients we love in British mysteries. I could easily imagine it becoming a television series, and I can’t wait to follow Detective Goode on another case.
