Not really what I was wanting…

I went into this wanting amazing tales of ghost stories with some excitement. What I got was snores. Made it through about 1/3 of the book before I had to quit. The narrator sounds like a robot and his inflection and cadence was so distracting, I couldn’t enjoy the book. Perhaps it would have been more interesting with a different narrator.

Great shorts on Ghosts!

I enjoyed this one - as Hans Holzer did a lot of different research, bringing some unique stories and perspectives. A great read if you are looking for a short weekend book!

We enjoyed the book

I had come across Holzer Files on the Travel Channel and had watched the show with my Mom - in - Love. Then I started looking to see more about if there were books about or by him. It turns out that there are many.

I started with this one and enjoyed his journey around Ireland. He found out history and who lived in the areas he visited. Together with Cybil and his wife Kathryn they would visit various haunted places and Cybil would go into a trance and let the spirit speak through her. In many cases, they would be able to help them move on.

Fascinating and reverent from the Godfather of Par

A good performance from a book straight from the Godfather of Parapsychology. I think he may have invented ghosts :-)
In all seriousness, This man genius knows few boundaries and he's truly fearless, curious and observant. If you like a non bias scientific approach to the paranormal it's for you. Just the facts!

Absolutely the stories are so well detailed and give you real insights to the situations and people involved.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gothic Ghosts?

I dont want to give any spoilers. but truly every story has a great moment with all the research involved.

Which character – as performed by Jim Tedder – was your favorite?

I love when he narrates the females I feel a lot of men have a hard time "feeling out" a woman's emotions through words. he was spot on.

If you could give Gothic Ghosts a new subtitle, what would it be?

A amazing collections of ghost stories you HAVE NOT heard yet . :)
