A Powerful and Gripping Listen

“Grabtown” is a really intense and emotional story that pulls you in right from the beginning. It follows twin sisters who discover secrets from the past through an old manuscript, and as they dig deeper, they realize the story may not be over. The plot is full of twists and keeps you guessing, while also showing how strong and brave the characters are. Even though the topics can be heavy, the story feels real and important, which makes it even more engaging.

The narration by Meghan Kelly makes the audiobook even better. She does an amazing job bringing each character to life with different voices and emotions. You can really feel what the characters are going through because of how she changes her tone depending on the scene. Her performance keeps you interested the whole time and adds a lot of tension to the story.

Crimes across generations

After their mother’s death, estranged twins Anastasia and Cassandra return to their childhood home to settle the house and belongings. They find a 40 year old unpublished manuscript written by AJ, their mother’s best friend. The manuscript describes secrets that their mother and AJ shared, and included sexual exploitation, human trafficking and murder. As Ana and Cassie read the manuscript and investigate, they realize that the crimes may not have ended. These are difficult subjects and the twins are determined to help the police hold the perpetrators accountable and bring justice to the victims. The narration by Meghan Kelly is outstanding. She again demonstrates her talents by performing this psychological thriller with the perfect amount of energy and tension. She creates unique voices for every character and uses changes in voice qualities to mirror the atmosphere and action. This is the perfect narration to keep the listener engaged, but off balance as the story twists and turns over the generations to a shocking end. Outstanding!

This was an unforgetable, gripping tail of suspense and mystery and the story was so well written.
Here we have the best voice acting and a fantastic story blended together to make this audiobook the ideal one for perfect entertainment and I am happy to recommend it.

Ok so I’ll admit that getting a free copy I rarely read blurb so I have no preconceived notions. And omg this story gave me so many feels! So after listening to the prologue then starting the story, then the story her mom left had my head whipping. It totally felt like I didn’t know which story I was listening to. But I love how the author brought all this together and made the beautiful chaos make sense! The story was amazing! And what a group of amazing and brave women. The narration was on point and really brought me into the story.
