Critic reviews

"Anne Lamott is...a swearing spiritual pundit who prays for redemption but brags about her offenses. Lamott's latest tell-all is Grace (Eventually): Thoughts of Faith, a searching memoir full of...offbeat spiritual humor. What makes Lamott's writing powerful isn't her unconventional faith. Rather, it's the profound message about God's grace and redemption often lurking underneath all the...brutal honesty." -Chicago Sun-Times "Lamott's self-deprecating stories are refreshingly frank and endearingly fun." -Washington Post

I'm a Huge Lamott fan. I flat out loved some of this and was just neutral on other parts. But I'm still a big fan.

I found the authors voice annoying and her book ridiculous. He r Pollyanna view of the word is churlish and annoying. Too much politics and not enough insight. I did chuckle a couple of time but cannot recommend this book to anyone seeking enlightenment or guidance.

Pollyanna in every way.

I struggled to really get into this book. These are great personal stories told by the story teller herself. I found her to be very dry/monotone.

Great personal stories

I love this book. Anne is so real. She's made mistakes, she doesn't try to hide. She talks about life just as it is, without masking anything. Most of the stories made me laugh till I cried! She is not preachy - she just presents it as she sees it. Since it is read by her also, I think it helps deliver the book in the tone that it was intended. By the time I finished hearing the book I felt like I had a new best friend! Thanks Anne!!!!

Highly recommend!
