For the past 20+ years, everyone has been waiting for the story to be told. What really happened at Apple when Jobs returned and Gassee was out? In this first-ever comprehensive memoir, Gassee doesn’t hold anything back. From his stellar career to his deepest moments of doubt to his new calling as a grandfather, Gassee dispenses his legendarily witty advice and shares some very important moments of the tech world.

When everyone talks about Big Tech and its influence on society, whoever is better placed to talk about the stories and the tech history than the ones who experienced them at the highest level? Gassee is one of these tech legends, whose words are now carefully crafted and curated in his Monday Notes or distilled wisely to those who seek his advice as a venture capitalist. This is your chance to have full access to the professional and personal life of a tech icon.

I’ve known Jean-Louis for 28 years and worked for him at Be. He’s every bit as modest and candid as this autobiography portrays. The only missing component is how outrageously hilarious he often was, albeit not always 100% PC. His predictions about Apple VR/AR have turned out to be correct. The narration was very good indeed but I, at least, would have loved to hear it in Jean-Louis’ voice.

An entertaining autobiography that rings true
