Different and unique story

The story is great and I just downloaded the second. There was an issue early on with the recording-voices and pgs turning-but it gets resolved.

problems with recording

I wanted to like this but there were just some problems I couldn't over look. Mainly, I could hear background noise on the recording and could even hear someone else talking in the background. At one point the narrator even broke from reading to address somebody else in the room. The storry was cute and fun but I had trouble liking or relating to any of the charecters. Fun premise but lacking in professionalism and character development.

Ummm… what?

So I am not going to be mean about it because clearly this woman spent time on this story and then the recording but… this was one of the worst read audio books I’d ever heard. There is literally a part where you can hear the pages turning and an audio guy cutting in to tell her to reread a part. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, she was a terrible voice for these characters, which blew my mind because she was the author… so how could she get the tone so wrong?! That being said, she got better as the book went on and she clearly got more comfortable. There were still times right up to the end when I couldn’t tell who was saying what because she ran dialog all together. The story wasn’t so bad. There were maybe a few parts that were a little too silly, and I’m pretty forgiving with these steamy romance novels. By the end, I will admit, I started to like a couple of characters and genuinely wanted to know what happened with the story. I actually think I’m going to go on to the next book in the series but it’s because I saw that there is a different narrator and I’m hoping it solves 95% of the issues I had with this book. I don’t know…. Maybe I’ll preview it before buying this time. lol.

Ridiculous

I made a huge mistake in giving this book a chance. It's horrible with unrealistic characters and a ridiculous plot. I couldn't get passed chapter 3. I returned it.
