This book was my first introduction to IFS. It is truly interesting, but backed with Dr Audrey’s extensive use of Scripture was of enormous value. As I approach the one year anniversary of my newborn daughter’s death, my third child loss in 6 years, I have seen so many of these parts identified in my own life. Grieving with her other patients throughout the book has helped some of my exiles to be unburdened and be at peace.

Others of the parts/emotions navigated throughout this book helped me see how others around me have grieved or continue to be burdened. I have suggested this read to many as I have enjoyed it, hoping that they, too, may grow through the learning as well.

The wrap up was spot on, leaving the audience with a hopeful future, a foundational thought-process to continue the journey, and Biblical truths speaking life in place of death

I appreciated the space that was held in the beginning for those who are experiencing loss and who also have been struggling in their faith because of spiritual harm. Great read for those trying to navigate the waves of emotions of grief and how it changes and shifts over time. Loving your self through your grief and honoring the parts that are navigating through it.
