Out of a job and on the run from his rainbow-haired adversary, the Terramancer is ready to jump to the next system and start again. Again.

It’s not his fault he’s made more enemies than friends. Cutthroat pirates, ruthless socialites, and the ancient and powerful Terramantic Order all stand between him and escape.

When he finds the most sought-after rock in the universe, it’s one problem he can’t get away from—the rock, it seems, has been waiting for him.

Not a fan of the virtual voice.

Fun adventure story overall. I’m a fan of rocks, so it’s fun to have a rock as a character. I’m not a fan of the virtual voice. Conversations were really difficult to follow. The virtual voice did not change inflection, and did not say “he/she/they said”. So it’s difficult to know who’s talking. When a person reads dialog they pitch their voice, virtual voice doesn’t do that. I’ll be avoiding virtual voiced books now, not sure why audible is taking that road.
