Provine Sael and her band are not yet done with Olak’s Hole, and further Imperial service beckons, even as Grog’s limited people skills are sorely tested. As the year limps deeper into a cold, wet fall, the group will face still more issues as Provine Sael’s conflict with the flesh trade takes an ugly turn, and the long-term effects of the Third North War manifest themselves. While hopes of participating in another major battle fade, Grog and Burk seek violence in which to uphold the good name of their barracks, the Sagrit seek revenge, cultists plot and plan, and in distant hills are hints of improper activity. And as always, the forests press inward, demanding order.

Another solid story from the author but the virtual voice makes many mistakes and lacks the human narrator emotion and acting.
