Taking our food system back is an act of revolution. Restoring the feminine is an act of sacred responsibility. Returning to the cycles of nature is an act of love. Grounding into the soil is an act of hope. The soil, the fertile ground beneath us, holds the key to the future of our planet and our species-yet few people are aware of the critical role soil health plays in reversing climate change.

With Grounded, Dr. Erin Yu Juin McMorrow takes us on a journey to explore the sacred interconnectedness between our soil and ourselves, seamlessly weaving the science of our broken carbon cycle and the oppression of the divine feminine into a powerful tapestry of hope and resilience. In Grounded, McMorrow guides us through the inner and outer work needed to restore the divine feminine and save our planet.

Highlights include:

  • The "brass tacks" of climate change - how everything from biodiversity loss to ocean acidification has roots in the killing of the microscopic life in our soil
  • The fertile soil is feminine - and the destruction of our earth and the feminine go hand in hand
  • Sex, birth, life, and death-how our natural cycles parallel the sacred cycles of nature

I thought I would know the majority of what this book would share, express and communicate, and while I have quite a bit of knowledge in many areas covered , I am feeling awakened. I love moments where i think I am awake and yet I then awaken to that I was asleep. When I remember and I remember what it feels like to remember. This is my now experience finishing this book 5 minutes ago. I am now thinking of all the people that I want to read this book. If your reading this review, I am clearly calling YOU to jump in.

Dr. McMorrow weaves a profound story of soil, woman, and divine polarity around the multiple disasters looming large over the modern world.

She argues persuasively about the power of small choices and turning inward. She offers tips on how to reconnect to the food system, our own health, and the divine mother goddess energy of creation.

This book is a poetic helix of the scientific and the spiritual, the mind and the “woo-mb” of things as it were. You can FEEL the truth of her words as she channels universal knowing from a place of humble human perspective.

One of the top books I’ve listened to in the past decade. Excellent read.

Spectacular weaving of wisdom upon knowledge
