Growing Up in Xin Jiang is a long epic from Xinjiang writer Ju Li that recounts stories from southern Xinjiang. It is a key literary project supported by the Aksu Regional Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
The novel depicts the story of the "second generation of Xinjiang" born in the oases of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in the 1960s-1970s growing up with their fathers' generation. It portrays the passionate era of two generations dedicating themselves to defending and developing the borders, and the arduous process of building a happy homeland.
