"You're not just a job anymore."

It was supposed to be a 72-hour mission, in and out, until Brandt Stryker got stranded in the arid African plains with predators before him, a killer at his heels, and an exotic princess by his side. Dalilah Al Arif stirs his blood, makes him crave things he'd lost long ago - but she is off-limits, promised to a sheik.

Dalilah's wedding contract stipulates she must wed before her 30th birthday - just months away. It's a duty she accepts. But in the arms of her handsome protector, she's torn between her sense of duty and honor, and her freedom. And as the terrorists close in, she fears the most dangerous creature in the savannah is Brandt himself….

It was well written, and the synopsis seemed to have all the things I was looking for in an intrigue romance novel. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past chapter 6. Animal abuse and deaths are a huge trigger for me and there were 3 instances before chapter 7, a baby elephant, a leopard, and the last one with the dog being the worst and making me too anxious about how many more there may be in the story. This is the first book I regret using my audible credit for.

I enjoyed the story. Had some good content. the performance was soso... the reader had several incidents of not reading through some of the story, smoothly. Like there was no redo's for messing up the flow. she did a good job on differentiating the voices of the characters.

Good story line

The book is enjoyable and the details about the land were interesting. There was much more angst ridden that the other books in this series but I skipped past the bulk of it. Worth the listen.

Good but a bit slower than the previous books!

Characters restraint changed to quickly for plausibility but other then that lots of great momemts.

This novel is worth listening to and/or reading. The narration is good save for a few exceptions where distinguishing characters were difficult even when keenly listening. Guess it's a matter of intonation on the narrator's part.

Exceptional!
