I realize I’m unapologetically, flamboyantly gay. My board game buddies accept me as I am. I love my eyeliner, my accessories, and even my curly hair. Not every gay man is into that, hence my cruddy love life.

But the one thing I want to modify is my physique. I might never be ‘masc,’ but I can be muscular. No one will hurt me again if I become brawny and big, just like the dudes I’m into.

And the one guy I’m into the most is my new gym bro, Vil. He’s big, fit, fun, and charming. How can one dude have all those manly traits and still want to be friends with a femme guy like me?

I refuse to fall for a straight guy. So we’ll keep it strictly platonic while we exercise together. But as the weeks go by, I can’t help but be enchanted by him. He accepts me and has a genuine interest in my life. Vil claims he’s straight, but his smoldering looks tell me otherwise.

When he gently places his hands on me behind closed doors, my world is forever changed. All I wanted was to become jacked so I could love myself more. I’m not supposed to fall for a not-so-straight guy in the process.

Board games have always been fun for me. But getting closer to the gym brothe same guy who might like me, toois dangerous. Vil and I are gambling with our hearts, a dangerous game where we both could lose it all.

“Gym Bros and Saving Throws” is a male/male romantic-comedy featuring board game dates, exhibitionism, muscle worship, and yes, gym bros falling in love. Roll the dice with book three of the Single Gamer’s Society. Each book can be listened to as a stand-alone with a HEA. These queer nerds are looking for love, and bluff or fold, they play to win.

It’s cute

These two are adorable. One is struggling with a crush and the other with his identity but they find a way to come together in the end.

Another Banger

I had a fun time with this one. It was refreshing to have a main character that is more fem. I also loved that it explored so fetish content. Over I love it and love this series. One to Book 4!!

Grating character voice

I thought the narrator was good except for his voice for Dylan. This character is described to be flamboyant and feminine-sounding in his voice. To me, it comes across more like a nasal, high-pitched cartoon character (I feel terrible writing that, but I found it so annoying.) I really tried but I could not finish the audio version as it grated on my ears too much. The book itself is good and I finished it via kindle. I would listen to other stuff this narrator does provided he doesn’t do this muppet voice again. It would be fine for a minor side character with few lines, but not an MC I have to listen throughout the entire book.
