In NIGHT CRY, a struggling young writer in San Francisco thinks his luck has changed when he meets a sensual girl named Calina. But after meeting her, the old-fashioned horror story he's writing begins to intrude on reality, as a sleek black panther begins stalking him. Every time he sees Calina, the panther comes a little closer. Is he only imagining it because of the story he's working on, or is he truly doomed just as love and happiness seems within reach? Both stories are set in San Francisco, melding the loveliness of the fabled City by the Bay with that intoxicating disconnect of darkness that only the lonely know.
