It was just another Saturday at the bookstore when Dalton Deangelo, the famous actor, came running in to hide from the press.

We clicked instantly. I fell for him because I’d always loved him...as the sexy vampire he played on my favorite TV show. And he fell for me because...I don’t know why.

I didn’t have a date for my cousin’s wedding, so he asked if he could tag along. I figured why not? I was just a regular, curvy girl who ran a bookstore, not a perfectly trim actress. Everyone would know he was just doing me a favor.

Well, we went to the wedding, and my whole family loved him. Especially my mother. After our date, I thanked Dalton for giving his number one fan a memorable night. To my surprise, he said we weren’t done yet. He muttered something about “research” and proceeded to sweep me off my feet.

What happened next was the stuff of Hollywood headlines. We’re talking scandal after scandal after scandal!

Now, I’m at the center of it all, running around in my underwear.

Handful of Peaches is book one of a series. Characters from Angie Pepper's Baker Street romance novels make appearances in the Peaches Monroe’s Diary series.

Note: This is a new, full-length novel adapted from the Peaches Monroe series originally published in 2013 as Stardust, Starlight, and Starfire, under the author's pen name Mimi Strong. This is not just a second edition, but an entirely new work incorporating new material with elements from the author's previous work. Think of it as a “reboot”.

This is the 6th book in the Clean Romantic Comedy on Baker Street series. Unlike the previous 5 books, This is not a standalone story. It is the first in a 4 part story. There are many references and even appearances from characters from previous books. Some of them are plot relevant. If you have not read the previous books, you can jump in here and enjoy the ride. Everything you need to know will be explained as you go along. If you have read the previous books then you really get to enjoy the combining of events and relationships. The end of the novel is not the end of the story. It ends on a major cliffhanger. Consider yourself warned.

Peaches is a delightful new character. She has made some poor decisions in the past but everything seems to be on an upward trajectory when she meets and lands a date with the handsome actor that portrays a vampire in her favorite soap opera. Is this a one off or something more? What are the perks and costs of celebrity and fame? Should she try to the unobtainable or give in to her insecurities and run to the safety of a previous love? There is so much to unpack as we learn about the pasts and secrets of both the heroine and primary love interests.

Angie Pepper weaves a spell with charming characters, thoughtful conversations and some hilarious set pieces. This is one of the best rom coms I've ever read and the ending had me screaming at my phone in frustration and nearly writing a mean letter to the author... which I haven't.... yet. That's how much I cared. And how much I am looking forward to the sequels to see how this turns out.

Tiffany Williams always puts in a stellar performance. I want her to narrate all the rom coms. Forever. She elevates the already lively text into banter you experience. The back and forth, the intonations.... it is a performance pure and simple.

My hats off to both talented women.... now where is part 2?

A girl called Peaches. I really liked this girl, her manner and attitude to life. There were some eyebrow raising moments, anticipation and budding relationships. Every girl needs a staunch supporter and peaches has one in her room mate and childhood friend. In particular there was a really big OMG moment which I cannot say more about- You will love it. The end of the story finishes with a lead into the next book, so I am looking forward to that being released. The narrator has a beautiful voice and is perfect for Peaches. Recommended

Handful of Peaches (Peaches Monroe's Diary Book One) was a great read by Angie Pepper. Dalton Deangelo is a famous actor who goes into a bookstore to hide from the press. Peaches was running the bookstore and they instantly clicked. Dalton asked if he could escort Peaches to her cousins wedding since she didn't have a date. After that they found themselves in scandal after scandal. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read the rest of the series.

In this story, which features more of the characters from Baker Street, Peaches meets a famous actor who wants to spend time with her as part of his research for a movie he is in. When she finds a script, she starts to wonder if anything was real.

How do you what is real when actors are involved?
