Handstand am Hochhaus ist eine Erzählung von Nadja Bucher die auf Basis eines Gesprächs mit Eduard Politzer (geboren 1912) beruht.
Ich war damals, 1928, sechzehn Jahre alt und stand kurz vor meiner Artistenprüfung als so genannter Parterre-Akrobat, einer Art Bodenturner mit künstlerischen Ambitionen. Ich wohnte in der Wiener Roseggergasse, und ganz in der Nähe war ein neuer achtstöckiger Gemeindebau errichtet worden, der als erstes Hochhaus des Wiener Stadtteils Ottakring galt. Zuvor hatte es auf dem Grund nur Wiesen und Tümpel gegeben.
