Playing it safe has never felt so dangerous

Justice Wallington knows how to harness his strength and intimidating size skills he put to good use first in the MMA cage and now as a bodyguard at the Body Armor agency. But no opponent has ever left him feeling as off balance as his new client, heiress Fallon Wade. Far from a spoiled princess, she's sweet and intriguingly innocent. It's a risk-free assignment, until he's required to fake a relationship with her in order to blend in.

Sheltered from the world after a family tragedy, Fallon longs to experience life going to bars, dancing, talking to strangers. Not easy with a huge, lethal-looking bodyguard shadowing her every move. Justice seems like her polar opposite, but pretending to be a couple stirs undeniable heat. And when danger strikes again, it's not just her safety in jeopardy, but a passion that's real, raw and absolutely against the rules

I've enjoyed all the Lori Foster books I've read, but I went into this one with a little hesitation because I wasn't sure I'd like a whole book about Justice. In his appearances in other books, he comes off as something of a dumb, crude oaf, but Foster really developed his character wonderfully here. I became really fond of him and found him funny and refreshing (not to mention sexy).
Alexander Cendese is an excellent narrator. I find his female voices (particularly older females) to be a bit grating, but he does everything else so well it more than makes up for it.

Unexpectedly delightful

I like the book it is a good continuation of the characters The narrator's Voice for the male's great for the females irritating. the females sound nauseatingly stupid in his narration even though they're not in the books.

good book bad female voice

Any additional comments?

The narrator has no idea how to do female voices. The heroine sounds like a whiny preteen with a weird breathy voice. Awful. To be fair, he also dropped the ball a bit on the hero, too. He sounds a bit like a Jersey shore meathead. He makes the book sound like the title should be "When Lunkhead Met Twit." Will be avoiding this narrator in the future.

Okay story, bad narration

Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the book because the women's voices made all the women sound so whiny that it made me not care about their characters. The men's voices were very good. I feel this narrator should stick to men only. I have listened to audio books every day for more years than I will say, and this is the first time a book was ruined for me based on the voices.

Women's voices ruined it for me
