Sam Ghost has finally managed to defeat all his enemies in the Andromeda Galaxy but at a high cost. He succeeded in transforming Terra, the world he had built for his new people, into a Galactic Entity, and now Terra ruled supreme in Andromeda. Thousands of races in the galaxy swore their allegiance to him and Terra Galactic, and to govern his domain, Sam established a Galactic Senate.
However, the threat of his true enemies remains. Farisa, the Dark Queen, is hellbent on destroying the human race, the only race that could oppose the Ancients. Now, Sam must travel to the planet where his journey began to retrieve a device that is critical for his war against the Marabans.
However, when Sam arrives in the Sol System, he discovers that Humans have survived and are still fighting against the First Crusade of the Kartanans that attacked Earth nine thousand years ago. Now, Sam is not only facing the Kartanans in the Milky Way Galaxy but also the Maraban Guardians that were sent to kill him. Meanwhile, he searches for the device that contains all the power of the Last Old God, also known as the Lost Traveler.
