Like Cliff Diver (first novel in the Emilia Cruz series) Hat Dance is a well written mystery with vivid characters, lots of action, intense suspense, and some major plot twists. This modern detective story is set in Acapulco, Mexico. The protagonist is junior detective Emilia Cruz who is the first female detective in Acapulco. Narration by Johanna Parker is outstanding. I enjoyed and I highly recommend this suspense mystery series.!
