I loved to hate her...

She made it so easy. She was everything I wasn’t - everything I didn’t want to be.

A reminder that from the moment I was born, I was the outcast. The rebel.

I went against everything that was expected of me and created a life on my terms. I built my own empire, carved out my own destiny.

Then she shows up at my tattoo studio, representing everything I tried to escape. She expects to just fit in...like she ever could.

Tabitha Anderson.

The posh girl trying to prove everyone wrong...that she can be something else - someone else. She hates me because she knows I’m right.

Or so I think. Turns out this isn’t the first time we’ve met, and our hate has history. We have history.

I might not have remembered, but I damn sure won’t forget now. Won't forget how her smile is always directed at everyone but me.

If everything changes and she proves she does fit in, will it still be hate I’m feeling or something else entirely?

And if I’m wrong, then she’s right where she belongs...with me.

Tabitha grew up with wealth, but I’d not interested in working with her family... she wants to do her own thing. She is a student in a graduate program for art.

Zach also grew up with wealth, and has also rebelled and stayed away from his family because he wants to do his own thing.

Tabitha sees a sign on a tattoo shop looking for help and enters, only to be hired on the spot. It’s Zack’s shop and when he sees her, he is angry.. she is everything that he’s rebelled against and says she does not fit... she proves to him she does by changing her hair and clothes. He lets her stay..

She remembers him from school, but he doesn’t remember her. They fight and hate each other.... but there is an attraction that is palpable. She has secrets from him, he has secrets from the rest of the world... and those secrets threaten everything.

Can two people who hate each other, but have incredible chemistry, survive each other? This is a great listen!!

Good Love/Hate relationship story. I don't think I've read any of Tracy Lorraine's other books but I will definitely finish this series and try some of her other books.

Shane East and Kylie Stewart were incredible. I really enjoyed them as Zach and Tabitha. Which is crazy considering I went back and forth disliking Zach. He was just such a jerk. But East perfected that attitude he had. He was able to really capture Zach’s tone and feelings. Hate You really showcased his feelings flawlessly. Kylie Stewart gives a fabulous Tabitha. She really showed Tabitha’s need for growth, for getting out from under her parents’ foot. She wanted space and to grow… if you get what I mean, Stewart really encompassed that growth in her tones. The narration was great!

The story itself was super enjoyable. I do love a good enemies to lovers romance. Tracy Lorraine did a fabulous job in creating characters that you felt for. I wanted to throttle Zach a few times honestly. I was rooting for Tabitha fully and there were times I totally felt she was too good for Zach. Lorraine has a way of tying things up in a nice tidy bow and in the end, I was happy with the outcome.
