it's ok.

The story has a good mystery with paranormal aspects. The characters come across stiff.
overall, she's written better stories. Not one of my favorites from Kat Martin.
The narration come across slow and characters sounded awkward and stiff.
It was OK. Not a favorite of mine.

Just blah

The narrator was good. That's about the only good thing I can say about it. I usually enjoy this author's books, but I just could not get into this one, I forced myself to finish it to leave this review. 6 hours in and nothing had really happened. It was supposed to be a paranormal suspense but the ghost (1) had almost nothing to do with the story. It was there, it caused one major incident and the room was closed. I also wasn't a huge fan of the characters, I didn't hate them, but I couldn't really connect with them either. I think my review title says it all.

Thirsty Cain can't go 1 chapter without a sip

I had to stop this book after a couple hours in. This dude just cannot stop lusting over the other protag. I don't know what this is but I think I was several chapters in before even 1 spooky ghost popped up and it was a throw away scare which lead to yet another description of her boobs.

I'm out. Maybe this gets better, maybe it turns into a romance novel you find at CVS and maybe it's a great story eventually but I'll never know because they can't go a single chapter without wanting to bed each other.

I regret the credit I spent on it.
