Step inside the mist-shrouded castles, abandoned inns, and forgotten corridors of Britain, where the past refuses to rest quietly. Haunted Isles is a chilling collection of first-hand encounters from those who have walked the country’s most haunted ground and come face-to-face with the spirits that linger there.

From Catherine Howard’s desperate pleas echoing through Hampton Court Palace to the ghostly footsteps of a lost piper beneath Edinburgh Castle, these are not legends retold from afar, they are raw, intimate testimonies from modern witnesses who found themselves caught between history and haunting.

With each account, the line between folklore and reality blurs, revealing how deeply Britain’s ghosts remain tied to betrayal, violence, and unfinished stories. Whether you are a believer in the supernatural or a skeptic who craves the thrill of the unknown, these true tales will leave you questioning the silence of every shadowed hallway.

Dare to listen. Dare to look closer. The Haunted Isles are waiting.

This book is narrated by a female voice, but was written by a male. The author is a well known horror story author and I had a hard time believing some of it. First of all, why would you keep using a voice recorder that didn’t work very well? Other equipment seems to fail a lot too. I’m a lifelong fan of paranormal investigations and that whole thing was contrary to what I know investigators use. For example, I would have set motion detection cameras with sound in several locations in the area of research. Back up battery packs are essential because paranormal entities always drain batteries. It’s a well documented fact. So I don’t believe the stories. Now, the sites mentioned in this book are definitely haunted and that has been well documented by professionals. So, if he wanted to just tell the stories as facts and include documentation, that would be fine. He told the stories as his personal stories. That is not cool in my opinion. I do believe in the hauntings but I don’t believe he experienced the things in the book.👎👎👎

A good book by a well known author
