Prepare to embark on an unforgettable path from near-death to newfound life!
Only a young newlywed, Lynn Blake's heart stopped without warning. She was given a second chance at life, but surviving cardiac arrest was only the beginning. Would she let trauma define her, or would she turn it into a force for change?
In Heart of the Matter, Lynn shares her struggles with grief, healing, and personal growth in unexpected challenges, living with an implanted pacemaker-defibrillator, and the weight of unanswered questions with tender honesty. Through it all, she discovers resilience, guidance, and a mission to save lives and souls.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Colorado mountains, this inspiring story invites readers to embrace life's peaks and valleys, proving that even in our lowest moments, hope and transformation are within reach.
More than a memoir, Heart of the Matter offers practical wisdom, including 17 Steps to Overcome Anxiety and Find Hope for the Heart, as well as access to reflections on life's biggest questions from the perspective of a survivor.
Discover how to thrive in life by getting to your own Heart of the Matter!

©2025, 2026 Heart Hope (P)2026 Heart HopeI strongly suggest that this be gifted and read by everyone!!! It’s an easy read with a powerful message.❤️💕
EVERYONE will experience one or more of her relatable stories.
Yes, Lynn is a hero; as are the people she has surrounded herself with -but most importantly she acts with pure intention. No forced “shoulds” or ego involved.
Lynn handles the trickiest part of the book with great compassion and integrity. Her description of spirit, God, religion keeps the universal perspective of a more powerful force that resides in nature, kindness, love, and the truth of all LOVE BASED religions. She shares what has helped her and her familial background, but makes no attempt to convince anyone else to do the same. In fact, she encourages open curiosity and exploration. The entire book truly is written not to put the focus on her, but to help others in their journey. It is a humble testimony of a journey to be grateful for one’s own life, AND to give back and help others while balancing the tribulations of family, friends and life. I too love dogs and love them as family and I am lucky enough to know her present dog.🐕
The book often offers practical heart/coping thoughts and actions.
There is a link for further information on a website. Because I am not home, I listened to the book that plan to buy it at the Bookworm as soon as I get home.!! Enjoy & Act!
