This is the second book in this series and just as brilliant as book 1. The author's writing style appealed to me and I fell in love with Ty and Vic.
I loved the build up to their relationship and it was delightful slowburn.
Bob Brill's audio delivery was perfect for this and brought the characters to life.
If you like a sweet age gap, opposites attract romance, I absolutely recommend this.

A.D. Ellis pens another wonderful novel in her “Forged in the City” series and I loved every everything about it. This book is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. I adored the two leads, Tyler “Ty” Golden and Victor “Vic” Black, each had their own issues and baggage, neither one is looking for a relationship. Ty is an independent, hard-working young man, he is set on finishing school to get his cosmetology license with hopes to work with big celebrities and/or Disney in his future. He is working several jobs including working as escort for companionship only, the company he works for has strict rules and vets all clients, plus the pay is very good. Vic, a man in his forties, was burned by his last relationship, it left him with major trust issues. He likes to crochet and occasionally works at Ty’s Uncle Rhys’s art studio. Ty works there as well and live in the apartment above the studio. Vic is taken by Ty but thinks he is too young for him, when he goes to get his hair done with him he loves how his hands feel on him. They travel in the same circle so get to hang out more and the two really hit it off. I loved the chemistry between the two, I thought they were perfect for each other and great together. This book is beautifully plotted, it contains the right amount of drama, low angst, a thrilling and suspenseful moment, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful, slow burn romance. A.D. Ellis thank you for another beautiful story, I love the characters, their camaraderie and the small town charm.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Bob Brill does an awesome job bringing these characters to life, he gives each their own unique voice and personality. His portrayal of the characters is spot on, sounding just as I picture them to sound. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and talented voice artist. Thank you for another fabulous listen 🎧

because love doesn't come from mind, which knows your age, but from your heart, which knows no age. ~Unknown~
This was a very sweet age gap romance with lots of sass and a tiny bit of angst. I really enjoyed Ty's personality, he was sweet yet sassy and had a good maturity to him with an awesome work ethic. Vic was a little tougher of a character for me to connect with. His insecurities about age was a tad frustrating, especially when he was putting himself down. I didn't really enjoy that. Overall though the narration was fantastic and the story was really good. I liked the situation towards the end with Ty and the way it was handled. This series has been really enjoyable so far and I'm excited for the next book.
