More raunchy mob jobs in a demonic underworld

Having become well established in Book 1, our narrator continues to shower us (not golden, thankfully) with tales of his latest exploits and mayhem in this city of death and betrayal where evil runs rampant. The storyline is a bit less chaotic, and narration by Dru Steeby is top notch. There are still trigger warnings, so listeners should expect acts of murder and various forms of abuse against others, with language to match. This gritty and raw second book in the series feels more balanced and its pace is improved. Black noir at its core. [Disclosure: I received this title for free and listened at 2.0x.]
