Growing up with drug-dealing, addict parents hasn't been easy for Matteo and Felipe. When their father finds out Matteo is gay, he ejects him from the house and into the arms of county sheriff Hector Gomez, who decides to foster him.

Unfortunately, Matteo is forced to leave his younger brother to the not-so-tender mercies of their parents. But, during a DEA/FBI raid on their parents' home, Felipe is turned over to Social Services, and Hector decides to foster Felipe, as well.

Fostering two boys is full of challenges. But, Hector and his roommate FBI agent Steele Adams love them. And in the process, discover their love for one another. The new family is fine...until the parents get out on bail.

omg emotional amazing read

man i loved this book the emotional rollercoaster this book had me on was out of this world i wish it was longer cannot wait for the next book in the series.

So far I have enjoyed both books I liked the story lines in both and look forward to reading the next one

A truly lovely story

When I first spotted this book I did not realize it was book 2. I immediately checked out book 1 and after reading the reviews was regretting that I bought book 2. The blurb drew me to read it nonetheless and I am so pleased that I did. It was filled w/ love, love between the two MCs, between their friends, between the two boys they took in. It warmed my heart and I went to bed feeling warm all over. I totally recommend this story, you will not be disappointed.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING.

This second book in the series was outstanding. So heartfelt and wonderful. At first it will have your heartbreaking but has it continues you will cry tears of joy. The way Hector & Steele stepped in and showed out was amazing. I fell so in love with the kids that I wished I could magically transport myself into the story and help to take care of them. I really liked book one but, this story is OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend this book. Even the narration was awesome. AC Katt is and was a brilliant writer. I was so sorry to see that she's has passed away. My condolences and prayers go out to her family. The literary world has lost one of the best writers and storytellers. I have listened to many of her books. Thank You AC Katt for your wonderful stories. R.I.Heaven. ☝🏽

Building Family

This story focuses not just on Hector and Steele as a couple but the building of a family with them bring to boys who need to be removed from drug dealing parents into their home. Hector and Steele's relationship moves forward with the push of the boys arrival. They have much to face that helps cement their new lives together.
