ABRIDGED!

😕 it didn’t mention anywhere on the details that it was abridged 😮‍💨 my kids and I were looking forward to relistening to a sweet classic but we were bummed it was a shorter version.

It is still a good story but the sweet details of good writing are lost and the build up for character depth and just captivating a readers attention are not as good as the unabridged.

Heidi is an easy ready - so if you want to introduce your kid to it - just go with the unabridged version. The abridged isn’t worth it - in my opinion.

a good abridged version

This was an excellent experience of a short story 1.5hrs adaptation of Heidi. Usually, I am against abridged versions, however, the narrator Jan Francis was enjoyable to listen to and I would look for again. There were some obvious adjustments such as Heidi saying she just didn't want to wear clothes instead of explaining how it was hot.

Abridged

This is abridged and there’s no way to know without listening. They need to point that out more clearly.

I expected the full novel but instead it is a very abridged short story. This should have been made clear.
