Couldn’t stop listening

The story was gripping to the very end. A believable storyline that’s like a bad nightmare.

Too soon

Kate started a relationship only about 1-2 weeks after”death” of her husband. This made me feel unsupportive of both of them. It seemed very immature and callous of both of these main characters.

It was okay

I thought this was a decent read. I can't pinpoint what was missing to make this perfect but it was still pretty good. The narrator did a great job

I'm currently read-reading the second book of the series, but this was available on audible plus to listen to, so I did.
The two books are totally unrelated, which I appreciate, because it's nice to know that the one I'm reading does not depend on the one I was listening to AFTER I was invested in the second, but it was a good story. I'm not convinced that it really required an entire book, but it was a nice diversion. It really is nice when the characters you like come out on top :)

ok but,

narrator inflection at wrong points in sentences. And weird inner dialog of author, not normal for a widow to expect to be arrested for spouses death.
