I am Maddox Henderson, a special agent with the FBI. As a member of the specially formed task force, my mission was to track a killer through the Appalachian Mountains with an experienced wilderness expert named Bruce Wayne. As we got to know one another on the treacherous mountain trails, we learned that neither of us had time for love. One would believe we used that as an excuse to hide our fear of commitment; however, there weren’t any doors to hide behind in the woods; there weren’t any telephones for distractions, but there were plenty of dangerous situations. We only had each other to rely on in emergencies, which caused us to become closer. Closer than we ever expected.
