This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.

He walked out on me once, leaving me with nothing but a broken heart and shattered dreams. Now he’s back—richer, sexier, and apparently determined to reclaim everything he left behind, including me.

I built my fashion empire from the ground up, determined to prove I didn’t need Steve Callahan or his millions to make something of myself. But when he walks into my charity gala like he owns the world, the past crashes over me like a tidal wave.

I should hate him. I want to hate him. But the chemistry between us is still electric. And when he reveals the truth behind his sudden disappearance years ago, it’s more devastating than anything I could have imagined.

Now, he wants a second chance. But how do I trust the man who broke my heart once before? How do I resist him when every touch feels like a promise of forever?

When business rivals, family expectations, and my own doubts threaten to tear us apart again, I have to decide: Can I really give my heart back to the man who once destroyed it?

I enjoyed the story. It was a great second chance romance the characters in this story really related to each other. The worst part of it was the narration you need to do better than that AI.

Great Story

Too shallow I didn’t like that there’s too much repetition on feeling no depth with the plot.

At times, I thought the virtual voice encountered a hiccup because sentences kept repeating. Literally, you'll read a sentence and then 2 sentences later, the author repeats the same exact sentence over again. This is the case throughout the entire book. I think that if the repetitive sentences were removed, this book wouldn't be half the length it is, and certain parts wouldn't feel unnecessarily drawn out. I almost didn't finish this book because of that, but I stuck it out. There is a good storyline.

character development... loved the honesty about parental racism and how it affects decision. Grippingly truthful in how collective racism will mire relationships. How also redemption and mindsets are often changed when children are involved.
