A life-changing moment

May 1941: German bombs drop on Dublin taking Sarah Gillespie’s family and home. Days later, the man she loves leaves Ireland to enlist.

A heart-breaking choice

With nothing to keep her in Ireland and a burning desire to help the war effort, Sarah seeks refuge with relatives in England. But before long, her father’s dark past threatens to catch up with her.

A dangerous mission

Sarah is asked to prove her loyalty to Britain through a special mission. Her courage could save lives. But it could also come at the cost of her own…

A gripping story that explores a deadly tangle of love and espionage in war-torn Britain, perfect for fans of Pam Jenoff, Kate Quinn and Kate Furnivall.

Such a wonderfully told story. Follow Sarah Gillespie as her story unfolds from unexpected events in Ireland that send her to England to a new job, new friends, and an unforseen encounter that will change her life. Of the twists and turns, I absolutely love the one at the end. I love WWII stories and this ranks as one of my favorites. A must read!

Terrific story from start to finish!

Ireland was supposed to be neutral in WWII but the City of Dublin was bombed in 1941. However Sarah was unwittingly pulled in the war. Her courage and determination got her through some tough situations and she would prevail in her desire to hit back at the enemy, which isn't always the Germans. Loved the book.

Very nicely written and performed
