She's on fire. He's cold as ice. Only together can they uncover the truth.

Blaise is a brilliant risk analyst who is skyrocketing up the corporate ladder—until she discovers she possesses dangerous fire magic that threatens to burn down her entire life.

Her childhood friend Tristan is an ice wizard and jaded detective for the Order of Twilight. Consumed by his parents' cold case, he's on the trail of a fearsome creature of living flame that leaves nothing of its victims but ashes.

Blaise is his prime suspect in a string of magical murders. To prove her innocence, she must join forces with him. Keeping things professional isn't easy, since the slow-burning torch she's carried for him all these years now burns hotter than ever.

But the truth is far more sinister than they can ever imagine. Can they unravel the mysteries of the dark forces within the Order and track down the infernal fiend stalking the city—without getting burned?

This feel-good urban fantasy novel is a complete, stand-alone mystery with edge-of-your-seat suspense, thrilling chases, snarky humor, and a happily-ever-after ending. This book also features Viola the enchantress and Brock the bear shifter from Her Second Chance Shifter, and Zane the demon from Her Date with the Demon.

Perfect for fans of Annette Marie, Heather G. Harris, Isa Medina, K. M. Shea, Lindsay Buroker, and Kenley Davidson.

I really wish they would stop using ai for narration. It can never beat the nuances of a real human. Also the mistakes are glaringly obvious, and annoying.

The the narration

The AI narrator still isn’t worth it. I don’t need actors. But how about pronouncing the name of a character the same way every time???

How bad the AI is.

The story line is good and the AI voice is nice but with out the ability to change the voice with proper inflection and male female change in character it fell flat.

AI just isn’t enough

The virtual narration makes this story confusing at times. You have to decipher who is speaking instead of just enjoying the story. The inflections are completely wrong. The story itself is interesting. I might just read the book instead. :)

Story is interesting but the narration is hard to listen to.
