In their isolated new neighborhood, Skye manages to fit in, but Deirdre withdraws from everyone, becoming fixated on the swampy woods behind their house and building monstrous sculptures out of sticks and bones.

Then Deirdre disappears.

And when something awful comes scratching at Skye's window in the middle of the night, claiming Skye's the only one who can save Deirdre, Skye knows she will stop at nothing to bring her sister home.

There are monsters all around us

I thought it was a very interesting story. Skye does eveshe can to get her younger sister back no matter the cost. I'm a bit disappointed with the ending though.

Captivating

The story was captivating. I love Suzy Jackson! The way she changes her voice is AMAZING!!! I did not like the ending much but I guess we cannot always have a Disney ending!

Haunting and dark, worth the slow burn.

The story keeps building all the way to the end. The protagonist, Skye, is forced to face something truly horrifying as she fights unknown forces to save her sister. How much would you pay for family? A well written story. This book is worth the slow burn and the audio performance is well done.
