All-out war chokes Doumahr as two prophets battle it out to become the only goddess.

Nathan's preparations will be tested, as this war will be won with ancient spells and forbidden magic, not sword and bow. He'll need to gather his battered allies and utilize every trick and spell he's learned to keep the war from spiraling out of control.

Storm clouds loom in the east, however. Civil war brews in the joint republic of faeries and elves, and someone or something is fanning the flames. Nathan finds himself playing both general and peacemaker.

Nathan's former homeland of Falmir remains the center of all chaos. Their armies rage at the borders, and their agents sabotage all of his efforts to prevent the dark future he once witnessed.

Nathan changed history to save his home. Now, he may need to destroy it to save Doumahr.

right up front I recommend the series to anybody reading this review and I wanted to say that the narrator did a fantastic job with her performance. Overall I have enjoyed every book that I have read from this author. This series is no different. There are some commonalities between the books the gentleman has written. Almost all of them I like but there are a few that I quite detest. I don't want to go into detail due to the repetitive nature of those elements as I expect them to show up in his future works. I have enjoyed this series and this entry into the story was another good one. If there was one part of it that I did not like it was how Charlotte storyline was dealt with. From my point of view it appeared as though Charlotte was a young naive princess who fell under the sway of an evil being through no real choice of her own. Nathan had opportunities to attempt to rescue somebody from his first life and even if the author had decided that he should fail those attempts I wouldn't have mentioned it in this review, however the author wrote the characters in such a way that Nathan never even attempted to save her. This is the major sticking point for me. One could argue that it is balanced out a little bit by Artemis coming back into his life even if under the new name, but considering that from the beginning of the series readers were under the impression that she was dead and gone never to return it really doesn't negate the negativity of the other storyline for me. even with that criticism I still think that everybody who had a hand in bringing the story to us, the audiobook listeners, are deserving of a round of applause.

spoiler warning

Nathan and his champions are trying to unite Domar, the battle between the prophets continues and Nathan grows stronger. I won't give any spoilers but the story continues and it is well done with great narration.

Such a great story.

Great story, lots of detail, backstory filling out.
Voice actor is not very good, voice is a bit grating, mispronounced multiple words.

Deep and interesting story.

So initially I got the series on a whim, the scenes could be a bit much but the twist and turns, the battles, character development has been great I actually enjoy this series. Sometimes I skip some of the scenes sometimes I don’t overall great story.
