For six agonizing years Heather Tremont Leonetti tried to make a lie of the breathless summer when rodeo rider Turner Brooks broke her innocence and branded her heart. But now only the truth could save her most precious, cherished memento. Which meant she'd have to beg the help of the one man who could drive her to her knees - the proud, unforgiving loner she'd loved ... the unforgettable cowboy who'd sired her son.

Would you try another book from Lisa Jackson and/or Renee Raudman?

This is not my favorite lisa Jackson book... but it was okay. As far as the narrator, she needs to work on a the males voice.

What aspect of Renee Raudman’s performance would you have changed?

The voice for turner makes him sound like an old man not a twenty, then thirty something year old. Otherwise the narration was fine.

good, but...

Would you try another book from Lisa Jackson and/or Renee Raudman?

Yes, I would. I've read Thorn's Challenge and loved it, so I was looking for the same intense romance and passon but it was not there. Renee did a good job narrating but the storyline was predictable and at times a strain on lthe ear and brain.

If you’ve listened to books by Lisa Jackson before, how does this one compare?

Thorn's Challenge was full of challenges, sexual tension, deep hot passion, love and family.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Renee Raudman?

yes, I though she did a fine job. Turner's voice could have been a little softer but all around it was ok.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

If I didn't read the book I probably would.

Any additional comments?

This was an ok book. I kept saying to myself that Turner was a jerk and Heather was a whim. She talked tough but wimped out when she was supposed to stand tough. Of course, Turner came around in the end just as I though he would, very predictable. I will definitely read more of Lisa Jackson's work but I will have to scan for better reading.

Just ok

Very enjoyable story. Ending predictable, journey more than interesting. What I found so interesting was that Turner was such a jerk. I don't know how she found him interesting because I would have given him the finger and went on about my business. However, for storytelling it must have been his looks because his personality imo sucked. But to read in between some of my more heavy duty reading/listening this was perfect. Glad it was so cheap because I wouldn't suggest spending a credit on it.

The narrator was ok, however she made Turner sound like a 50 year old man, with a smokers, whiskey drinking voice, which added nothing to his already flawed personality.

I liked the story, but I thought the narrator made everyone sound elderly. It made hard to imagine the characters, and hard to listen to.

I did not care for the narrator.
