Alphas do not exist. 25-year-old omega, Damon Richards, knows this; it’s why his old-school pack considers him all but useless. He certainly doesn’t expect this reality to be upended at a random bar in the middle of nowhere. In his forty-two years of life, Rex Murphy hasn’t had any reason to believe he isn’t human. Shifters are just something he learned about in school; a species snuffed out long ago. As far as he’s concerned, he’s just a normal guy – until his anatomy changes during an impromptu hook-up in a bar’s bathroom. At that point, he does what any rational person would do: he flees.

Wanting answers to his newfound alpha-ness, Rex seeks out Shifters Sanctuary, a pack recently founded by the only other known alpha in existence.

As fate would have it, once there, Rex gets the second biggest shock of his life. It seems he left a little something behind with Damon on the night he fled. A baby-shaped something.

Rex and Damon still have a lot to work out (not made any easier by the looming threat from a cult-like community of shifters with their own agenda) but they may just discover that a life in Shifter’s Sanctuary is worth fighting for...

CWs: His Prodigal Alpha is a sweet, instant attraction (fated mates) romance. It IS an mpreg with an unexpected pregnancy, and it does contain some violence, threats, kidnapping/abduction of small children/infants (I promise it’s brief and has a HEA), anxiety/allusions to an emotionally abusive upbringing, a birthing scene, talk of infertility, and some angst, as well as some rope play/shibari and discussion about unsafe BDSM practices. This book contains elements suited to listeners over the age of 18.

I swear Damon is my spirit animal. The “I don’t speak English” had me laughing out loud 😆

That’s definitely one way to keep unwanted people from getting close to you and attracting the right ones.

When Damon and Rex met, they never expected their lives would take such a turn. What was supposed to be a wild night, ended up being the surprise of their lives.

All of his life Damon had believed that alphas didn’t exist. That they’re nothing but a myth he used to read about. But when he meets the handsome man at the bar and has the widest hookup of his life, he finds out that alphas don’t just exist, he has found his own.

When Rex meets Damon, he’s completely taken by the witty omega. Their chemistry is off the charts and the two can’t help but give in to their desires.

But when an unexpected change in his body happens, Rex can’t run fast enough. His shock of discovering he’s not human has him running for the hills, leaving Damon behind.

Damon isn’t just taken at back by Rex’s reaction, but by the gift he was left with after their hookup. With a baby on the way and nowhere to go, Damon finds himself seeking help at the Shifters Sanctuary.

As fate would have it, that’s exactly where Rex ends up as well, making their reunion a very awkward one.

Rex couldn’t believe that the omega he couldn’t stop thinking about was in the same place as him. Neither did he expect that their night together would have consequences and even though he’s freaked out at first, he soon realizes how much he doesn’t hate the idea of a family of his own.

Damon and Rex have some things to sort out but it was obvious that they were meant to be together. The way it happened might not have been the ideal one, but what matters is that they found each other despite of how it happened.
