Our story started with secrets. Now, it's nothing but twisted love.

There's always a price to pay when you're loved by a man like Nicoli Del Rossa. He's my king, the captor of my heart.

But with the Dark Sovereign empire comes savage enemies thirsting for bloodshed, and when a mafia war is raging, buried secrets are brought to the surface.

While my husband does everything to protect me, I start to see the cracks in his truth. The lies, the deception—it begins to unfold, and I no longer know who I can trust.

All it takes is one night apart. One night of living in the dark. One night… and I remember everything.

Now, I'm no longer the woman he married. I'm no longer his hummingbird with a white lace ribbon in her hair. Instead, I'm a shattered soul grappling with haunting recollections, and no one can save me.

Not even him.

His Queen is part of the Dark Sovereign world and the second part of Nicoli's story. It is not a standalone and should be listened to after Nicoli.

While I like the audio versions, the female tends to read the MFCs in the same manner. Initially she had Mira in a slightly higher pitch and aster speaking cadence, and that started off the same in this series, but as it went on, she reverted back to how she spoke when reading Leandra’s character. The gentleman’s voice was well done, especially in this book and how he enunciated the Nunzio character.

Female voice is the same

SO GOOD! But harder to listen to than the others, be aware that there is def a TW in this one of SA. No holds barred. But the rest of the book is phenomenal, just absolutely amazing like the rest of the series. The writing, storyline, and narration, just all of it are fantastic! I’m loving every book and I can’t wait to go on to the next one!

The Possessive Nature the characters have is really great, I will definitely shares with my family/friends as well!!

The Story actually!

An impactful and hard story to listen to as it was one of the most memorable books I’ve heard in a while - thanks to the author, Bella J. She wrote a heroine that was human but powerful and a man that loved and respected every inch of her.

My only critique is the narration - although they did a good job, it wasn’t great. The male narrator wasn’t gritty or sexy enough and he sounded much older than his character was in the story. The female was a tad better but occasionally was whiny and annoying.

Overall, the story overcame the narration (not the worst I’ve heard by far) and I can’t wait for the next book. I’d definitely recommend this series.

Finally! A realistic, unapologetic and gripping mafia story.

There is a massive trigger in this so be warned. However, it was a overall a great book! I will say that I am a little put off with the ending. It felt rushed and left with you feeling like it just ended. I would to have had one last chapter. Maybe there's a another book??

Massive triggers but great read!
