I loved the universality of the stories. I could put my own faces to most of the stories in this book!I must be a hockey mom.
My mom was a figure skater and my dad played pick up ice hockey growing up in CLE, OH. My siblings and I grew up in southwestern Michigan playing floor hockey because we didn’t have regular ice. Those Peterborough girls cleaned our clocks! I’ve raised 2 boys in CLE. One took to hockey, one did not. The one that did skates on the same ice I learned to skate and my parents met. My guy is content playing for his high school (no NHL in our future) and I can still relate to crazy hockey parents, ice times and a crockpot going throughout the season.
I laughed and cried, it’s totally worth the time! Thanks for getting the moms side of the story!
