Back in the golden age of Hollywood, there lived a beautiful B-movie star. They called her the “poor man’s Marilyn,” but in reality her career was going nowhere fast. Then she built a crazy pink mansion, got married a few times, made a string of flops, joined the Satanic church, and ended up decapitated on a back Biloxi road at dawn. She was dead but not forgotten, convincing herself that even as a ghost she was ripe for a comeback. She missed the lights, the cameras, and her fans. That was thirty years ago, though, and in the meantime Desiree and her pink palace became just rotting shells of their former glory. Then an ambitious young writer decided to lease Desiree’s old home and see if the rumors were true that Desiree was still hanging around the decaying mansion. To make it pay, she also decided to run a reality show in the place, resulting in the winner being crowned America’s hottest playmate … … But Desiree isn’t much on competition.
