Beautiful Story of Faith Through the Mountains and Valleys

I’ll be honest, I have not read or listened to a book in a few years. And by a few that may be closer to 5 or 6 years. To be my first “read” after so long was a great decision. Amy’s story is relatable at times, mind blowing at others, and heartbreaking also. She does an amazing job of weaving through her life and sharing her emotions at every turn. I’m especially glad that I listened to it rather than reading. To hear her read added so much emotion during the book it was hard to hit pause.

Though the valleys in my walk with Christ was no where near as painful as hers it brought back memories of how God brought me through those times. I was lucky to have a loving and supportive family. I’m sure for the one’s not so lucky this book will help them with either the things they are going through or have gone through.

Amazing, strong, triggering, and so helpful! I needed this book as a reminder that I am not what happened to me, I am who I choose to be now. Thank you so much for putting this book into the world and for breaking the cycles of abuse.

Amy’s memoir is beautifully written. . Her bravery shines through as she shares her journey. It is a story filled with honesty and care. So many will benefit from Amy’s journey. She shines a light. Through her bravery her journey will help so many.

Amy bravely shared all of the horrible abuse that happened throughout the generations of her family. I’m so proud of her for putting a stop to the abuse. I’m so sorry your father did not do his job of loving, protecting, and caring for you. You deserved so much better.

I really enjoyed Amy’s story. I did not watch 19 Kids and Counting, but knew a little about it. She is brave to tell her story!
